Slip Into Your Own Private Pool
Imagine the luxury and convenience of your very own sparklingly clear, refreshing pool. Now pair that indulgence with a villa that offers panoramic views of the neighbouring river and mountains plus opulent amenities, and you’ll get a taste of the bliss called Ubud Hanging Gardens. Each spectacular villa has its own heated infinity pool where you can unwind in complete privacy, taking in the sweeping vistas and listening to the sounds of nature. The grand Balinese-style villas, which are built into the side of a hill, also feature lavish marble bathrooms, as well as secluded outdoor shower facilities that allow you to truly connect with the breathtaking environment. To complete the transformation from stressed to calm, Ubud Hanging Gardens includes an Ayung Spa, with three pavilions that retain total privacy while giving you views of the surrounding natural beauty.

Dive Into Adventure
Indonesia is comprised of thousands of islands, so it’s no wonder that some of the best diving in the world can be found in these crystal blue waters. The Banda Islands are ideal for divers of all skill levels, and you’re guaranteed to observe underwater sights that will take your breath away. The remoteness of the Bandas means that the diving is extra-special—a fact that’s attracting more and more holiday divers—and you’ll discover small and large fish varieties, bright coral formations, and perhaps even a dolphin or two. Diving conditions are optimal in spring and late fall: mild currents, great visibility, and calm waters for beginners, while other locations have strong currents more suitable for experienced divers. A unique watery adventure full of dogtooth tuna, rays, and hard coral awaits…with many lively stories to tell afterward.

Experience an Open-Air Massage
A massage performed by the experienced hands of a skilled masseuse is a luxury, but when it’s combined with the caress of warm sea breezes and the sounds of birds and waves, it’s truly heaven on earth. The Jimbaran Puri Bali Resort has created an exclusive way to experience spa treatments: right on the beach. The three dedicated spa terraces offer an intoxicating blend of absolute privacy and open-air freedom, and because the terraces are large enough for two, you and your partner can experience this pinnacle of indulgence together. You can select from a wide range of luxuries that cater to guests’ individual need for wellness, healing, or rejuvenation. The Ayurvedic therapies are designed to clear your mind for more focused energy, while the body scrubs and wraps incorporate traditional herbs, spices, and knowledge to promote a deeper, natural healing process. After your spa delight, make your way to the whirlpool terrace, where you can both finish your appointment with a therapeutic bath for two.

Take in the Landscape From Atop an Elephant
Elephant Safari Park is an exciting and rare opportunity to get up close and personal with these stunning creatures. Opened in 2000, it’s undoubtedly the world’s best elephant park, where you can watch them frolic in the water, hand-feed them, have your photo taken with them, experience educational shows and elephant painting, and visit the comprehensive museum to learn fun facts. But the best part about Elephant Safari Park is, of course, a safari through the leafy Taro jungle ensconced in a teak chair atop an elephant—a ride that you’ll never forget!

Visit Awe-Inspiring Temples
Villages in Bali all have at least one Hindu temple, so it’s a fairly common event to view a one of these remarkable temples on the island. However, Tanah Lot is probably the most famous and a sight not to be missed—especially at sunset. This extraordinary structure is built into the rock along the coastline of Tabanan and is attributed to a 15th century priest who believed the spot was ideal for worshiping the Balinese sea gods. Tanah Lot is one of seven temples built into the sea, each within sight of the next, forming a chain along the southwestern coast of the island. The holiest temple in Bali is Besakih Temple; this “Mother Temple,” located on the slope of Mount Agung, is a thousand years old and is available to Hindus of any caste. It contains three central temples and 18 surrounding sanctuaries, creating a massive structure that enthralls from end to end.
