Food
Famous for its Limoncello, as well as exquisite cheeses, olive oil, and antipasto, the Amalfi region affords one a chance at various epicurean delights.

At the Delikatessen Positano (Via dei Mulini 5, 13, 15, Positano) pick up your limoncello or biscuits and also offers candles and soaps made from lemons. Apreda (Via Tasso 6, Sorrento) produces delicious treccia cheese, the local equivalent of mozzarella made from cow's milk. You’ll find no end of prodotti tipici e naturali della costiera Amalfitana on the shelves of Ravello Gusti & Delizie (Via Roma 28, Ravello); this is the place for foodstuffs, as well as delicacies and wines from all over Italy. Sun-dried-tomato pasta, olive oil, and other treats are available, and even lemon honey.

Clothes
Italians are perhaps the most keenly dressed people in the world, venturing out every evening to promenade in their finest. No self-respecting Italian would ever leave the house looking anything other than perfect. It is not surprising then that the Amalfi Coast, particularly Positano, offers a terrific range of fashion boutiques.

It's worth splurging at Marilù (Via del Saracino 20, Positano) if you want to take something unique home in Positano wear. Master goldsmiths are on hand at La Bottega del Gioiello (Corso Italia 179, Sorrento), which also produces the regions famous cameos and coral jewellery. Handmade sandals are another must-buy in Amalfi, and there are many very good craftsmen throughout the region. As an example, the Giuseppe Faiella (Via Le Botteghe 21, Capri Town), a family business stretching back to 1917, is justifiably proud of his made-to-measure footwear. Expect to pay EUR 50-EUR 100 for a carefully handcrafted pair.

Spa
With all the beauty farms on Ischia, ladies might enjoy visiting the main cosmetics factory on the island, Ischia Thermae (Via Schioppa 17, Forio), which occupies an 18th-century palazzo in the town center of Forio. Besides poring over some of the formidably named articles in their retail outlet (such as Thermal Mud Purifying Mask Exfoliator), you might enjoy guided tours of the factory, offered three days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 4:30 and 7:30) with the bonus of a free sample of their products.
