Marrakech Marathon – January 2010 – Event – Various Venues
The annual Marrakech International Marathon and Half-Marathon attracts up to 5000 runners, both regionally and internationally. Across gruelling terrain with mild daytime temperatures the 42km marathon route follows the palm lined boulevards of Marrakech, taking in the orange and olive trees of the Menara Gardens and continuing passed the walls of the legendary Medina.

The Fes Festival of Culinary Arts is a gastronomy event held in the Medina, where local cuisine is showcased by traditional Moroccan cooks and interpreted by Western chefs. Movie screenings and concerts showcasing local talent round off the celebrations.

Festival of the Atlantic Andalusias – November – Event - Essaouira
The Festival of the Atlantic Andalusias is one of Essaouira's newest music events, celebrating the Andalusian contribution to the cultures of Spain, North Africa and Latin America.
Love songs, Arabic violin suites, traditional gypsy dances, flamenco rock and even Mexican folk tunes are featured at the Festival of the Atlantic Andalusias, complemented by seminars and art exhibitions.

The renown Place Djemaa el-Fna sets the stage for Marrakech's International Film Festival.
