| | Relais Della Rovere InformationThis hotel is named after its most illustrious owner Cardinal Giuliano della Rovere, who later became Pope Giulio II - patron of artists of the calibre of Michelangelo and Raffaello.
The building is the result of the careful restoration of an 11th century Benedictine Abbey and of the renaissance Villa commissioned by Giuliano della Rovere in 1470.
The hotel has 30 rooms, all with air-conditioning, hydro-massage bath or shower, satellite channels, pay-TV, phone, mini-bar and a safe.
It is surrounded by a large park which boasts a travertine swimming pool from which the enchanting panorama of Colle Val d'Elsa may be enjoyed.

From Florence Peretola airport 31 miles
By Car
From the airport Amerigo Vespucci, follow signs for the A1 towards Rome - join the A1 for approximately 15km, then take the exit for Firenze Certosa. Turn right for Siena and continue on the highway for about 30km, then exit at Colle di Val d'Elsa Nord. When you arrive at the stop sign turn left, and immediately left again going uphill - continue straight ahead until you reach a roundabout where you will find a sign for the hotel. Continue ahead and you will find the hotel after approximately 40m on the right hand side.
By Shuttle and Public Transport
Take the shuttle service Sita from the airport to the centre of Florence - change at the bus terminal for the shuttle that goes directly to Siena - the bus stops at Colle di Val d'Elsa. Once there, call the hotel to arrange a taxi for pick up from the centre of town to the hotel.
