History
The Grand Hotel Villa Tuscolana, a four star hotel situated on the slopes of the Tusculum Hill in the green of the regional Park of the Castelli Romani, is the ideal place for an unforgettable stay in the Eternal City. The Villa was built in 1564 by Cardinal Rufini on the ruins of Marco Tullio Cicerone's ancient dwelling. Some of remains are visible, still nowadays, in the ancient park. During its history the Villa belonged to some of the most important families such as the Aldobrandini, the Lancellotti, the Sforza, the Savoia, the Borbone and the Bonaparte.It was enhanced and enriched in the 18th century by the famous architect Luigi Vanvitelli.
Rooms
Villa Tuscolana features 100 comfortable rooms. All our rooms are elegantly furnished and equipped with satellite tv, telephone, hairdryer, mini-bar and safebox. From all the rooms of the facade you can enjoy one of the most suggestive view of Rome with the "Cupolone", St. Peter Basilica's big dome, in the background.
Restaurant
"La Rufinella", the hotel's restaurant, offers to its guests a first class service and a refined cuisine with italian and international specialities à la carte. The four restaurant rooms, with their architectonic and pictorial features and a seating capacity from 40 to 200 seats inside, are the ideal place for special events, working meals or romantic dinners.
Bar
The Vanvitelli Bar, open daily from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. is at our guests' disposal with hot and cold drinks, fruit juices and croissants.

Grand Hotel Villa Tuscolana offers to its guests a shuttle bus service (free for check in and check out), from and to Frascati city centre and to the train station, taxi service on request, inside parking, laundry service and room service.
How to get the hotel
The hotel is only 20 minutes from the city centre of Rome by car and come from Rome-Neaples follow the directions to Rome South until Monteporzio Catone. At the exit of Monte Porzio Catone turn right and follow the direction Frascati- Grand Hotel Villa Tuscolana. The hotel is 5 minutes far from the motorway. If you come from G.R.A. take the exit 21-22 Anagnina, then take Tuscolana Road and follow the indications to Grand Hotel Villa Tuscolana. The hotel is 10 minutes far from the G.R.A.
