Hotel Introduction
The Courthouse Hotel was so named for a reason; currently an exclusive luxury hotel, it was once the site of a courthouse that hosted a number of famous cases. Some of the celebrities who defended their names in the old courthouse include Mick Jagger, John Lennon, and Oscar Wilde. Today, it retains much of the unique architecture—such as fireplaces and even iron bars—of its previous incarnation.
Come for its history, but stay for the remarkable services the Courthouse provides. Award-winning restaurants and lounges deliver delicious dinner and drink options, while the onsite spa, gym, and theatre add to the list of superior amenities.
The 112 rooms and suites provide everything you would expect in a five-star hotel—and more. The large rooms are decorated in appealing neutrals such as butterscotch, burgundy, cream, and chocolate and include details like plush fabrics, timeless furnishings, LCD flat-screen televisions with entertainment systems, and DVD libraries. For a truly remarkable stay, choose with Lalique Penthouse, with its glass conservatory and private lift.
Dining
From breakfast through after-dinner drinks, all of your culinary needs can be satisfied within the walls of the Courthouse Hotel. The line-up includes Silk, The Waiting Room, Carnaby, and The Bar—each unique space exquisitely decorated to ensure that your surroundings are as elegant and appealing as the food and beverages in front of you. Dishes are created by experienced chefs with a commitment to using fresh ingredients to deliver international flavours that appeal to every palate.
Spa
The Sanook Spa offers countless ways to indulge your desire to relax and refresh your body. In addition to a selection of spa treatments such as massages, the Sanook Spa pampers guests with its signature chocolate collection—including facials, manicures, and pedicures—that imparts the luxurious cocoa experience without the calories. Also available for both exercise and recreation are a swimming pool, relaxation area, and gym.
Hotel Features
The Courthouse is home to one of the largest private cinemas in the city. It seats up to 94 people in complete comfort, providing leather seats, plush aubergine carpet, and beautiful suede walls. The screening room hosts a regular movie club, as well as a wide range of events requested by hotel guests—from private screenings to corporate launches to receptions of all kinds.
Meetings
The Courthouse Hotel specializes in both professional and social events. The dedicated event spaces can host corporate meetings, launches, exhibits, weddings and receptions, reunions, and more. The staff offers personal attention and complete organizational support for everything from décor to menu to transportation.
Location
For a taste of hectic London lifestyle, the hotel is ideally placed. Set in the heart of Soho, many of London's most popular attractions are within a short walk, while there are a number of buses and tube stations very close by which can take you to wider reaching attractions as well as London's airports. London Heathrow is only 15 minutes by train from Paddington, while a journey to London Gatwick takes around 30 mins from Victoria. Stanstead airport is around a 45 minute journey from Liverpool Street.
