Hotel Introduction
So much about this hotel is noteworthy, beginning with its history. A glorious Edwardian structure, One Aldwych was completed in 1907 by Charles Mewes and Arthur Davis, the designers behind the Ritz hotels in London and Paris. This collaboration of a Frenchman and a Brit resulted in a hotel with a striking London grandeur and an elegant Parisian feel.

The sprawling gymnasium and spa treatment rooms are designed to relax and rejuvenate the body, while the culinary delights at the onsite restaurant and bars will leave you sated yet yearning for more. The screening room is among the hotel’s most unique features, and can be used for private film screenings, along with business-centred videos and presentations.

Remarkable luxury awaits in each of the 105 rooms and suites at One Aldwych. Among the extraordinary amenities: fresh fruit and flowers, original art pieces, sumptuous silks and Frette linens, bath products by REN, and feather and down duvets. The rooms also include entertainment options including satellite television, DVD players, and wireless broadband Internet access.

Axis at One Aldwych has been reopened with a chic new décor and exciting modern British menu that features dishes inspired by seasonal ingredients. Offering a fresh take on European fare, Indigo cultivates an invitingly casual atmosphere that’s enhanced by its position overlooking the Lobby Bar. The Cinnamon Bar, a vibrant espresso bar, serves up tasty coffees, pastries, light meals, tapas, and cocktails. The Lobby Bar is arguably one of the most beautiful lobby bars ever created. It offers the best of all worlds: dozens of innovative cocktails, an extensive list of champagnes, upscale bar food, non-alcoholic drinks, teas and coffees, and cakes.

The Health Club at One Aldwych is dedicated to guests’ complete wellbeing. Keep your body in top shape at the gym, whose state-of-the-art facilities include cardio machines, mini televisions, personal trainers to keep you motivated, lap pool with underwater music, and steam and sauna rooms. After a workout, pamper your body with a visit to one of the three treatment rooms for a menu of indulgences such as massage, aromatherapy, reflexology, and a host of beauty therapies.

Hotel Features
Included in the list of function spaces at One Aldwych is a screening room with seating for up to 30 people in luxurious, Italian-designed leather chairs complete with a small table for notes or a cocktail. The screening room features HD Blu-Ray technology and Dolby Digital Surround Sound, creating the perfect environment for theatre-style meetings, presentations, and screenings.

Six flexible function spaces are a stylish home for meetings, social events, receptions, and corporate parties. Natural light floods the rooms, making it possible to use the spaces for artistic endeavours such as exhibits and shows as well. The largest space can hold up to 100 attendees for a reception-style event, while smaller rooms are ideal for intimate gatherings and exclusive meetings.

Superbly placed in the heart of London in Covent Garden, between the bustling City and the world-famous West End the One Aldwych hotel is ideally located for those wanting the best of all worlds. Walk the cobbled streets of Covent Garden, a converted flower market now full of fashionable boutiques. A short walk from the hotel are the shops of Oxford Street, the nightlife of Soho, restaurants of Chinatown, and the history of Trafalgar Square, The British Library and The British Museum.

From London Heathrow take the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station and then transfer by tube to either Covent Garden Station (0.2 miles from the hotel) or Holborn Station (0.2 miles) . From London Gatwick take the Gatwick Express into Victoria Station and then transfer to either Covent Garden or Holborn Station. Equally accessible are London’s other airports: London City (9.1 miles), Stansted (37.7 miles) and Luton (34 miles).

The hotel Concierge can be contacted in order to arrange a transfer. Please note that a fee will apply.
