Hotel Introduction
With 100 years of history behind it, The Gore has the charming feel of a traditional luxury hotel—but with the added bonus of modern technology subtly incorporated throughout. “Tradition with a twist” is their motto, and the tradition element plays out in the stately décor and top-notch service, while the twist comes from features like flatscreen televisions.

The 50 guestrooms at The Gore include delicious touches such as carved four-poster beds, ornate gilt mirrors, antique furniture, chandeliers, and plush fabrics. Also included in every individually appointed room are high-tech essentials such as wireless Internet access and DVD players.

A gourmet restaurant and chic bar caters to guests’ every culinary need, while the attentive concierge staff stands ready to make recommendations, reservations, and arrangements for anything else you desire. The elegant meeting and event facilities add to the picture perfect amenities at The Gore.

Bistro One Ninety Queen’s Gate is an upscale, yet low-key dining destination for Gore guests, as well as foodies throughout the city. The dishes highlight a broad range of British and Continental favourites. Also, catering to those attending a show at nearby Royal Albert Hall, the Bistro offers a fixed two- or three-course menu featuring delicious lighter meals, entrees, and desserts. Bar 190 is a hip hangout for the fashionable crowd (including celebrities). Its candlelit, Art Deco-inspired interior provides an intimate spot for unwinding or conducting business.

Hotel Features
You can sleep in the same room as some of your favourite actors and musicians at The Gore. Some guestrooms are named after the famous faces who’ve graced them, including the Judy Garland room and the Dame Nellie Melba room.

Cinderella’s Carriage, the VIP section of Bar 190, can be booked for private parties or simply rented to ensure maximum privacy while enjoying the bar’s atmosphere. Complimentary appetizers are served to guests in Cinderella’s Carriage, or a more extensive tapas menu can be arranged.

For business or pleasure, the event rooms at The Gore provide the ultimate in style and modern amenities. Elegantly decked out in charming 19th century motifs, each graceful room is ideal for business conferences, dinners, receptions, banquets, shows, and exhibits. The Tapestry Room, featuring two stone fireplaces and French tapestries, holds up to 120 people; the Mulberry Room, with dramatic wood panelling and candelabras, hosts up to 20 guests; and the Green Room, with a traditional drawing room decor, is perfect for up to 50 people.

The Gore is ideally located close to the park and Kensington Gardens. Many of the major London museums such as the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Natural History Museum and Science Museum are a short distance away. The Royal Albert Hall and vibrant nightlife of Mayfair are within close reach of our purposefully positioned property. Harrods, Harvey Nichols and the shopping delights of Central London are all a stone's throw from the hotel. Whether your visit to London is for business or leisure, The Gore provides the perfect home away from home base.
