Hotel Introduction
The Regency-style Hotel Astor Saint-Honoré is a jewel of a four-star hotel dedicated to pampering each honoured visitor. A truly idyllic location—between the Champs Elysées and the Opèra—allows guests to fill their days with romance, the arts, and high-end shopping and then return to their blissfully serene hotel to recharge for the next day.
Though there’s much to do just steps from the hotel, take the time to explore everything the Astor has to offer. Some of the focal points include creative cuisine presented by a subtly attentive wait staff, a stylish English lounge, elegant function spaces, adjoining fitness centre, and refined library area.
The 130 guestrooms at Hotel Astor Saint-Honoré are a delicious combination of classic chic and modern sophistication, featuring custom carpets, fabric wall coverings, and glossy mahogany furniture. Vibrant colours such as purple and aqua are balanced by soothing tones of pearl grey, lilac, and cream. The latest technologies are available for guests, including Wi-Fi; many rooms also provide 32-inch flat-screen TVs and Hi-Fi systems with CD players.
Dining
Restaurant de l’Astor is an exciting destination for gourmands throughout the city. Featuring upscale French cuisine, the restaurant seats diners in an elegant oval room with a 1930s-style glass ceiling and trompe l’oeil starfish on the walls. You’ll find a buffet-style breakfast, while an a la carte menu is available for lunch and dinner. The unique bar, Charles X, is done in an English theme, with comfortable banquette seating, antique-reproduction chairs, and original murals by Raoul Dufy and Kees van Dongen. Guests can sip on classic and innovative cocktails and order light fare into the wee hours of the morning.
Spa
Guests of the Hotel Astor Saint-Honoré have full access to the hotel’s fitness centre across the street. In addition, a beautiful park 1 km away includes shaded paths for walking and jogging.
Hotel Features
The hotel was built in 1907 as a result of England’s Lord Astor paying a visit to Paris. Lord Astor fell in love with Rive Droite, which was home to the French intelliectual elite, and he decided to build his eponymous hotel there later that year. During later renovations, celebrated interior designer Frédéric Méchiche put a new twist on the hotel’s original Regency style.
Meetings
Four delightfully named function spaces are perfect for either business or social gatherings. The Scott Fitzgerald Hall accommodates up to 50 people and is fully equipped for professional presentations. The Lewis Carroll Hall holds up to 30 guests, the Oscar Wilde and Edgar Allan Poe Halls are perfect for up to 10 people and include a 32-inch LCD screen, and the Hemingway Hall accommodates an intimate six.
Location
Superbly positioned on a peaceful 18th-century Paris street in the Rive Droite of Paris, you would never guess how close you are to Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, which features some of the most luxurious shopping of the renowned Golden Triangle.
