Hotel Introduction

The storied Hôtel de Vendôme—built by Louis XIV’s secretary—is located among the chicest, most sophisticated shops in the city—not to mention cultural landmarks such as the Opera and the Louvre. After a four-year restoration, the hotel reopened in 1998, introducing the world to its amazing return to its original grandeur.

The Hôtel de Vendôme is visually stunning, a testament to classical French design with marble inlay flooring, a reception desk created from rare wood, and decorations that include frescoes and fine art pieces. Guests get the sense of living in a palace—without the unapproachable feeling. In addition to its dazzling ambience, it offers upscale amenities such as an English-style bar and gourmet restaurant.

The 19 rooms and 10 suites in the hotel are individually decorated, though universally elegant. They feature antique furniture, rich woods, fine fabrics, bathrooms produced entirely from rare marbles, plush bathrobes, and high-speed Internet access to keep you in touch with the world outside this lavish haven. The Presidential Suite on the top floor is particularly opulent, with a huge bedroom, several living spaces, dressing room, and private terrace.

Dining
Le 1 Place Vendôme is a gourmet French restaurant, serving classic fare with subtle flavours created from the imagination Chef Fréderic Fallope. The hotel bar is British in concept and design, with refined mahogany accents, Chesterfield chairs, and engravings. The English club atmosphere makes for a sophisticated spot in which to sip a glass of champagne in the evening while listening to beautiful music from the hotel’s pianist.

Hotel Features
The Hôtel de Vendôme was built in 1832 by Pierre Perrin, the secretary of Louis XIV, as a private residence. It took a turn as an administrative headquarters and then became the Texas embassy in 1842. At the time, France was the only country that accepted the Texas’ independence from the United States.

Meetings
The Salon Belle Époque on the top floor of the hotel is an impressive venue for private parties or business functions of up to 35 guests. The spacious Presidential Suite and the restaurant, Le 1 Place Vendôme, are also ideal locales for receptions or private dinners.

Location
Perfectly positioned between the Place Vendôme jewellers and the fashionable boutiques of Rue St-Honoré, the hotel is within easy walking distance of the La Concorde, Champs Elysees, Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum.

1.5 miles from Gare du Nord, Eurostar Station
19 miles from Charles de Gaulle Airport
13.5 miles from Orly Airport
Transfers to the hotel can be arranged through the hotel concierge.
A fee will be charged where applicable.
