Hotel Introduction

Built in 1925, the Hotel Raphael presents its sophisticated guests with a glamorous club-like atmosphere, with walnut panelling and beautiful seating in the public areas and halls decorated with original paintings and oriental rugs. The hotel, a Conde Nast award winner, caters to individuals who demand luxury in every detail and discreet service from highly trained staff members.

Many of the suites contain expansive terraces that overlook the stunning sights of Paris. And while it’s tempting to remain in the dazzling rooms as long as possible, don’t forget to explore the other grand amenities, including a gourmet restaurant, a rooftop terrace for al fresco dining, modern fitness centre with striking stained-glass window, and Turkish baths. It’s also a pet-friendly hotel.

The Raphael’s 90 rooms and suites are done in a Rococo style, regally appointed with Louis XV, Louis XVI, Empire, and Directoire antiques. The rooms also contain modern tools such as satellite TV and high-speed Internet access. The naturally-lit bathrooms include hand-painted tiles and mosaics, and the suites feature multi-jet massage showers.

Dining
La Salle à Manger is an elegant treat for true gourmands. Chef Philip Delahaye specializes in fish, but he has created a full classic French menu, as well as lighter options. Diners enjoy these gastronomic delights amidst a spectacular ambience that features drop chandeliers and Hubert Robert-style panoramas. Les Jardins Plein Ciel is a rooftop terrace dining area open to guests in the summer. The views over Paris are spectacular, while grilled dishes take pride of place on the outdoor menu. Bar Anglais lives up to its name, as guests will feel like they’ve stepped into a quintessentially English gentleman’s club (though women are, of course, most welcome). It’s the perfect spot for everything from afternoon tea to an evening mojito.

Spa
Raphael’s fitness centre boasts the latest cardiovascular equipment and free weights designed to give guests a total body workout. Afterwards, relax in the sauna and steam baths, which are adorned with mosaics and multi-coloured mouldings.

Hotel Features
The rooftop terrace, Les Jardins Plein Ciel, is renowned for its views, but the décor is also of interest. The centrepiece of the room is a giant chessboard, placed right in the middle of the tables—a tribute to Leonard Taubert, who founded the famous Chess Club of France.

Meetings
Hotel Raphael offers six delightful conference rooms that accommodate up to 50 attendees, each one elegant and equipped with high-tech essentials that ensure successful events. In addition, the hotel offers a Business Corner, which guests can access any time of the day or night. With a computer, Internet access, and printer, it’s perfect for either business or leisure travellers.

Location
Ideally located adjacent to the world-famous Champs Elysees and the Arc de Triomphe, the Hotel Raphael is purposefully placed en route to the Trocadéro and the Eiffel Tower, with easy access to the City’s fashionable boutiques and main business districts.
