Hotel Introduction

The Hôtel Westminster Opera Paris is among the most prestigious hotels in Paris. This small luxury establishment, which debuted in 1809, is located on the prestigious Rue de la Paix and creates a stirring first impression with its Hausmannian façade. Though steeped un history, the Westminster prides itself on having fully integrated technologies—such as Internet access and satellite TV—that are designed to please modern travellers.

The pet-friendly hotel specializes in discreet service and puts a high priority on guest privacy. It also provides an award-winning restaurant that transforms into a low-key venue on weekends, a charming bar decorated with portraits of English literary giants, a Business Corner with Wi-Fi connection, indulgent spa services, a high-tech gym, and sophisticated function rooms.

The 80 deluxe rooms and 21 fabulous suites have been individually decorated by Pierre-Yves Rochon to conjure the styles of Louis XV, Louis XVI, Napoleon III, and the Regency period. The rooms include accents such as marble fireplaces, a collection of antique clocks, antique desks and consoles, wall hangings in toile de Jouy, and Carven toiletries in the marble bathrooms.

Dining
Le Céladon is a decadent gourmet restaurant that has achieved one Michelin star for its exquisite cuisine. At the reins is Chef Christophe Moisand, who offers fun twists on classic dishes, serving fare such as fish risotto with artichoke cream sauce and oysters crusted with ginger. Not surprisingly, the colour scheme includes shades of pale green with touches of Céladon porcelain, crystal, and silk. The Duke’s Bar is sublimely English is style, featuring a huge fireplace, club chairs, and mahogany panelling. The drinks are what bring guests back again and again, however; Chief Barman Gérard favours classic cocktails and prepares them with unparalleled expertise.

Spa
The Hôtel Westminster Opera Paris offers a full complement of wellness services, including a state-of-the-art fitness centre with panoramic views over Paris. Following your workout head to the steam bath, decorated in authentic Moorish style; the Nordic sauna; or the rejuvenating showers with massaging jets. The hotel also provides a private Orlane Beauty Room for massages and face and body treatments.

Hotel Features
During the Romantic period, everything English was in style in Paris. The hotel, originally founded in 1810 as the Wagram, was renamed Westminster in 1831 after the Duke of Westminster, who used the hotel as his Paris residence. Even today, the current Duke of Westminster is such a frequent guest that his favourite cocktail—a dry gin martini flavoured with orange blossom—has been given the name The Duke’s Martini at the hotel bar.

Meetings
Five flexible function rooms—all with an elegant Napoleon III décor—are available for any type of business or social gathering. With room to accommodate up to 100 people, the rooms are both spacious and beautiful, sporting rich panelling, moulded ceilings, marble-topped fireplaces, and large windows. A long list of high-tech tools is available, as well as catering by Le Céladon Executive Chef Christophe Moisand.

The Hotel Westminster is ideally located on the prestigious Rue de la Paix, a stone's throw from a myriad of world-renowned sights, such as Place Vendôme, the Opèra, the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre.
