Hotel Introduction

Dating to 1883, La Tremoille has been reborn numerous times, but what has remained intact is its commitment to opulence and service. It debuted again in 2002 after an extensive renovation that updated all of the technology and luxuries, while maintaining the innate sophistication of the building. Guests immediately notice the Haussmann-style façade, complete with mouldings and wrought-iron balconies, which is a perfect fit for the hotel’s Golden Triangle location.

La Tremoille was a well-known centre for the Paris jazz scene in the 1960s, capped off by a joint visit from Ellington and Louis Armstrong in 1961. Today, it continues to be a draw for celebrities and sophisticated travellers, who appreciate first-class amenities such as the delicious restaurant, chic bar and lounge, deluxe fitness centre, rejuvenating spa, and two exclusive function rooms.

The 93 rooms and suites are decorated in dozens of unique styles. Features of the rooms include soothing neutral colours, designer furniture and fixtures, Nobilis silks, mohair drapes, velvet armchairs, moulded ceilings, LCD TVs, DVD and CD players, and iPod connections. Bathrooms are equally sumptuous, with marble counters, hand-woven baskets, and Molton Brown toiletries. The nightly turndown ritual often includes gourmet treats.

Dining
Chef Frederice Duca is at the helm of Louis², named for Louis II—the grand chevalier of the Renaissance. The inventive menu includes such delicacies as lobster brandade and signature “finger” desserts. The interior is an artistic blend of 1930s-influenced modern design, with warm colours, geometric patterns, embroidered fabrics, plush carpets, and wood accents. The Louis² Bar and Lounge sports a casual atmosphere, with comfortable seating, large tables, and a central fireplace to welcome guests in search of a light meal or tasty cocktail. 

Spa
The fitness centre at La Tremoille features a cardio training room with the latest equipment and plasma TVs to keep you motivated. The centre also includes access to a personal trainer, sauna, and hydro jet shower. If more pampering is on your agenda, the Centre de Soin can provide a range of beauty and wellness treatments, including skin and body therapies, aesthetics, manicures and pedicures, massages, oriental hair removal, and anti-aging treatments.

Hotel Features
Each room at La Tremoille has what they refer to as a “hatch,” a small chamber that connects the guestroom to the hallway. This ingenious design allows the hotel’s service providers to deliver room service or return shined shoes, for example, without intruding on the guests’ privacy.

Meetings
Two ground floor function rooms are bathed in beautiful light by day and allow great views of the city by night. The Salon Tremoille accommodates up to 25 attendees for receptions or conferences, and the Salon Renaissance can hold up to 10 people for an intimate meeting or private dinner.
