Hotel Introduction

The perfect destination for chic travellers who prefer to be among the city’s glitterati, Le Meurice has been a haven for royalty and lovers of high fashion for centuries. The storied hotel is located on the ultra-stylish Rue de Rivoli, right in the heart of upscale boutiques and very near the Louvre. Capping off the experience is the staff, which works day and night to make your stay memorable; as a guest, you can put the concierges’ top-secret address book to use to make all of your wishes come true.

Even the dining options are an ode to beauty; the signature Restaurant Le Meurice has sweeping views over the neighbouring Tuileries Garden, while Le Dali offers an ambience created around a 145-square-metre canvas painted by Ara Starck. Among the property’s other happy diversions: the new Spa Valmont, which takes a holistic approach to wellness through innovative treatments and nutrition; a state-of-the-art fitness centre; and modern business centre.

Le Meurice consists of seven floors—all of them with an individual style that favours Louis XVI. Each soundproofed room boasts a marble bathroom with a separate tub and shower, fluffy robes and slippers, and custom toiletries by Penhaligon’s. For work or entertainment, the rooms come with high-speed Internet access, LCD and plasma screens, and an iPod radio/alarm clock. In addition, twice-daily maid service ensures that your guestroom stays tidy at all times. The Belle Etoile Royal Suite is the ultimate in glamour, with 300 square metres filled with lavish amenities like a private elevator, a canopied king-sized bed, large dressing room, and Jacuzzi.

Dining
Modern, fresh, and without pretension, the food at Restaurant Le Meurice is both delicious and beautifully presented—a true reflection of Chef Yannick Alléno, who has earned a prestigious three Michelin stars. The restaurant features delightful elements such as a champagne table, a 616-bottle wine cellar open to the dining room, and an enthralling chef’s table. The décor is inspired by the Salon de la Paix at the Chateau de Versailles and includes mirrors, chandeliers, marble, and bronze accents. Restaurant Le Dali is more casual but still a wonder of gastomony, with menu items such as sea bass a la plancha, Provencal lamb stew, and an incredible teatime selection. Le Bar 228 is a favourite rendezvous spot for hip Parisians, with live jazz music, a rich décor, and inventive cocktails.

Spa
Spa Valmont uses the elite Valmont brand of Swiss cosmetics and skincare to deliver incredible results for clients. Choose from treatments including body wraps and scrubs, anti-aging and contouring therapies, massages, and salon services and then relax on the terrace with a light and healthy lunch from the spa menu. When it’s time for a workout, head to the onsite fitness centre, with a full range of modern cardio and weight equipment.

Hotel Features
Le Meurice goes far beyond other luxury hotels when it comes to child-friendly activities. The staff organizes trips to the Jardin d’Acclimation, the Parc André Citroën, and even cruises on the Bateaux-Mouches. Young guests can also go on carousel rides in the Tuileries Garden and take part in treasure hunts in the hotel.

Le Meurice’s symbol—two greyhounds—came about as a result of renovations in 1905-1907, during which time the workers took in a greyhound that had been living onsite, making him the hotel’s mascot. The establishment is still pet-friendly today.

Meetings
The five function spaces at Le Meurice maintain the elegant theme of the hotel, providing decors that include gilt trimmings and decorative woodwork. The rooms, which can accommodate up to 450 guests, are ideal for business meetings, social receptions, and even fashion shows and product launches. The staff can help organisers put together themed events and catering menus that reflect the style of the occasion.

This luxurious hotel boasts the coveted location right between the Place de le Concorde and the world-famous Louvre. Surrounded by trendy boutiques, private gardens and Parisian cafes, the Le Meurice is the ideal base from which to explore the city.
