Hotel Introduction

Terrass Hotel is perhaps the best known luxury hotel in the storied Montmatre area. The hotel, housed within a glamorous belle-epoque building, has been in the same family since its construction in 1907. The distinctive four-star Terrass welcomes visitors into a lobby-lounge that boasts rich walnut panelling, Italian marble, Oriental rugs, and splendid columns. In the evening, the grand piano comes alive with beautiful music to entertain guests.

The Terrass’ location places it near famous sights like the Sacré-Coeur Basilica and the Moulin Rouge, while upscale pursuits such as art galleries, high-fashion boutiques, and other exclusive shops are a short stroll away. The hotel also offers amenities including a newly designed gourmet restaurant, a piano bar, and excellent meeting facilities.

Many of the 98 rooms offer sweeping views of the city and its many extraordinary landmarks. The elegant interiors feature gold and beige tones and feature styles that vary from classic to contemporary art deco style. Modern touches such as leather chairs, tiled floors, and vivid area rugs set a playful mood, while the expansive windows let in lots of light. Each room has a flat-screen TV and high-speed Internet and a bathroom with a whirlpool tub, towel warmer, robes and slippers, and a double vanity.

Dining
Le Diapason is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach. Chef Olivier Métayer offers a spectacular menu of innovative dishes, all served within a stylish décor of cool grey and cream colours with splashes of vibrant red. In the summer, meals are even better when enjoyed on the terrace. The day begins with a decadent breakfast buffet featuring breads, croissants, jams, cereals, cheeses, fruit, eggs, meat, chocolate, fruit juices, coffee, and tea. Guests who prefer a continental breakfast can have a tray delivered to their rooms. 12 Cosy Bar is a sophisticated space with comfortable sofas, a fireplace, piano entertainment, and scrumptious light meals and cocktails.

Hotel Features
For centuries, Montmartre existed as its own village outside the city limits of Paris; it held onto its unique identity even after being incorporated into Paris in 1860. Montmartre—long home to laborers including quarrymen, millers, and winegrowers—became a popular haven for artists as rising costs in the capital city forced them up the hill into “La Butte.” Famous names including Picasso, Renoir, and Toulouse-Lautrec worked in their studios during the day and spent their nights in clubs such as the Moulin Rouge.

Meetings
Four adaptable meeting rooms at the Terrass feature overhead windows that allow sunshine in to brighten up a professional or social gathering. The largest of the function spaces, the Louvre, can accommodate up to 300 people for a meeting or reception, and the rooms are equipped with communication technologies including Internet access, overhead projectors, microphones, and other audio-visual tools.

Location
Idyllically set in the picturesque hilltop village of Montmartre, the Terrass Hotel is within a stone’s throw of the celebrated Sacré-Coeur Basilica and the world-known Moulin Rouge, as well as, a myriad of art galleries, fine restaurants, fashionable boutiques, and hidden courtyards waiting to be discovered.
