The Hotel Santa Caterina rests on an impressive expanse of land overlooking the sea and sitting on a series of natural terraces. From the time of the hotel’s construction in 1880 by Giuseppe Gambardella, multiple generations of the Gambardella family have dedicated their professional lives to running this beautiful hotel and ensuring the complete satisfaction of every guest.

The 70 spacious rooms and suites are decorated in sumptuous style with exquisite antiques and hand-painted ceramic tile floors. The suites are given charming themes such as “Romeo & Juliet,” “House of Orange,” and “Wisteria.”

Restaurant Santa Caterina offers world-famous cuisine that focuses on traditional dishes that have been updated for discerning palates. The elegant interior boasts marble and lapis lazuli floors. The second restaurant, Al Mare, is located seaside and offers tempting lighter fare such as fish and oven-fired pizzas. Whether a before-dinner aperitif or after-dinner liqueur, Bar La Terrazza delivers delicious beverages and snacks while offering delightful bay views.

Spa
The spa wellness centre inside Santa Caterina pampers the body and revitalizes the spirit with an array of enjoyable treatments. The Beach Club, open from April to October, includes a private beach and seawater-filled swimming pool. Guests can reach the Club via two elevators cut into the cliff’s rock.

The Veranda hosts up to 70 people and is ideal for larger meetings; the Bougainville holds up to 20 attendees and is perfect for smaller gatherings. Location
The hotel is only a short walk away from the historic and beautiful centre of the town of Amalfi. From here, Herculaneum, Pompei, Sorrento and Naples are all within easy driving distance. Amalfi and the hotel can be reached by car following the A3 motorway in the direction of Salerno and exiting at Vietri sul Mare, following directions for Amalfi. Naples Capodichino is the closest airport, while the nearest railway station in Salerno (25km).
