Hotel Introduction
The Grand Hotel Baglioni was aptly named, as its imposing grandeur can be seen from many parts of Florence. Its impressive size makes it possible to provide countless amenities, while its soaring height offers guests sweeping views of the city’s skyline. Inside the walls, a superb restaurant, spacious meeting rooms, and elegant guest rooms await.

The Grand Hotel Baglioni has counted as guests Benito Mussolini, Giacomo Puccini, Rudolph Valentino, and Orson Welles—as well as countless other heads of state, dignitaries, artists, and discriminating travellers—for over a hundred years. The building itself, however, is a testament to the magnificence of 19th century architecture. Every detail has been planned to ensure that the atmosphere exudes luxury and beauty—from the frescoes, paintings, and sculptures on display to the high ceilings decorated with traditional wooden beams.

The 193 rooms are a pleasing blend of Italian charm and modern convenience. A warm colour palette, dark wooden furniture with wrought iron accents, and lead glass windows can be found in the living area, while ceramics set off the large bathrooms.

The Baglioni’s restaurant, Terrazza Brunelleschi, offers panoramic views of the city along with its grand cuisine. Every day the chef and his creative team offer their takes on Tuscan dishes, along with a wide variety of international dishes that entice guests to return time after time. Its superior seating capacity means that large events or parties are no problem for the talented staff of Terrazza Brunelleschi.

Hotel Features
The Grand Hotel Baglioni was launched in 1903 after having served as a residence of an Italian prince. After deciding to move to Rome permanently, the prince suggested to the Baglionis in 1902 that his Florentine residence would make a splendid hotel. They agreed, and for over a century, the public has been invited to stay in princely comfort.

The hotel is home to an exclusive, permanent photo exhibit that recounts 100 years of Florentine history.

Meetings and Events
It’s difficult to find a hotel in Florence more suited to meetings and events than the Grand Hotel Baglioni. The Convention Center, which is comprised of nine stylish, flexible rooms, can be found on the ground and first floors of the hotel. Whatever your needs—from a room that’s ideal for an intimate gathering to a large conference room that can accommodate 200 business associates—these versatile rooms are an easy answer. The Convention Center rooms are not only functional, but beautiful as well: stucco ceilings, frescoes, and antique furnishings are a lovely backdrop for the high-tech gear available at the Baglioni.

The hotel is only 300m from the Santa Maria Novella train station, right in the centre of the city, and is close to all the iconic landmarks. From the Grand Hotel Baglioni, guests can explore the major attractions and also the lesser known treasures of Florence - street markets, artisan workshops and traditional trattorias.
