Raffles Resort Canouan Island is located on Canouan Island in the heart of the Grenadines in the southeastern Caribbean. The resort is set on 300 acres of a 1,200 acre private estate featuring three secluded white sand beaches, all surrounded by one of the world’s largest coral reefs. The new Raffles Resort is amphitheatrically set around the protected bay with each of the 156 single and double-storey luxury villas offering breathtaking views.

High on a hill overlooking the northern Grenadines, with sweeping views over the resort and the reef, is the exclusive Villa Monte Carlo. Located here will be the European-style casino - Trump Club Privee, La Varenne - a European gourmet restaurant, as well as an elegant ballroom for private functions.

Villas & Suites

One defining difference at Raffles Resort Canouan Island is the size of the accommodations. Each of our guestrooms have an area of no less than 600 square feet and all have private covered patios or terraces with comfortable lounge chairs and prime views overlooking the beach and sea.
Accommodations include garden and ocean view rooms, and suites with one, two or three bedrooms. Private pools have recently been added to a number of the suites.
For the convenience and enjoyment, each guest bedroom comes with its own golf cart for residents' personal use during their stay.

Villas & Suites

156 accommodations including spacious rooms, junior suites and one to three bedroom suites and villas, with garden or ocean views. Accommodations are either set on the "Mezzanine" level, located on the top level of the resort's amphitheater setting or "Orchestra" level, within the first four levels of the resort.

All suites feature comfortably appointed living and dining areas, seperate bedrooms, wet refreshment areas with Lavazzo coffee/espresso machines, air conditioning, ceiling fans, both in-room slippers and beach sandals, RafflesAmrita Spa bathroom amenities, seperate shower and tub, in-room safe and walk-in closets.

With exteriors painted in bright Caribbean hues of orange, yellow and blue, custom made furnishings, Frette linens on netted four poster beds and terracotta tiled floors with throw accent covers, the resort's guest villas perfectly reflect the exotic warmth of the island.

Bathrooms feature separate glass showers and soaking tubs, double vanities and hand painted porcelain sinks and tiles.

The choice is yours. Whether you prefer a view of the sea from one of the Caribbean's biggest swimming pools, swim in the crystal blue waters of the bay or perhaps gaze out lazily from your relaxing Asian day bed in the shade cast by a straw canopy. At Raffles Resort Canouan Island, you can do what you like.

The Golf Course

The Trump International Golf Club, which has been named "Best Golf Course" by Robb Report, is where golfers will believe that they have found heaven on earth. It is home to the resort's challenging 18-hole, par 72 golf course, designed by Jim Fazio. Offering unparalleled views of the bay, the course stretches 60-acres along the sea front, half of which is built on the flat coastal plain and the other half of which is carved out of the hillside above the bay and the resort. Golf instruction, carts, and rental clubs are available.

A full range of activities, based around Canouan's miles of white sand and clear water will be available for the sports-orientated guest. Snorkel gear, wind surfs and hydro-bikes will be available on a complimentary basis. Scuba diving and day sails can be arranged.

Tennis:

The resort's tennis center at Godahl Beach will also offer four all-weather tennis courts floodlit for night play, tennis pro-shop and rental equipment.

Swimming Pool:

A 12,900 square-foot (1200 sqm) fresh water swimming pool will be the longest in this region, with pool bar, private palapas and spacious pool deck. A separate children's pool will also be available.

Boat Excursions:

Day trips can be organized to one or more of the following islands: Tobago Cays, Mayreau, Petit Tabac, Palm Island, Union Island, Petit St. Vincent, Morpion, Mustique and Bequia.

Sugar Palm Kids Club:

The Sugar Palm Kids Club is a special recreational facility for the care and entertainment needs of all children from the ages of 4 to 14 on holiday. Here you will find two floor play areas equipped with all sorts of age appropriate toys, games, interactive television, craft tables, reading corners and playstations, all readily available for your child's entertainment in this safe and friendly environment.

Sugar Palm Kids Club is open daily from 9.00am to 12.00noon and 1.00pm to 5.00pm. 3 times a week, it will be opened from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.

After a sumptuous dinner, guests can proceed to the first European-style Casino in the Americas and gamble the night away.

La Piazza

A stylish Italian concept restaurant, La Piazza pampers its guests with its sleek and contemporary design and trendy services. The highlights of this restaurant include a centerpiece work of art - a golden bowl suspended in air, a 3 storey wine cellar with one of the world's largest collection of Italian wines, and superb views of the bay. The menu is a tantalizing blend of authentic Tuscan cuisine which features white Alba truffles and premium aged Parmesan cheeses.

Jambu's

With a name of Sanskrit origin, this signature restaurant is a spectacular poolside all-day dining venue with Palapa roofing. Life is lived to the fullest when the bold flavors of the restaurant's trans-ethnic cuisine bring a new meaning to all day dining. All dishes are created in true Raffles style, cooked to perfection and served with finesse. This unique cuisine embraces the additional essences drawn from Latin and Japanese cuisine. It is no wonder its been named on Conde Nast Traveler's "2005 US Hot Table" List as one of the most romantic restaurants in the Caribbean.

La Varenne

Located at the Villa Monte Carlo, La Varenne offers panoramic views of the Caribbean, overlooking the resort and the islands of St. Vincent & The Grenadines. This gourmet restaurant lends itself perfectly as an exclusive retreat within the island. A superb selection of unsurpassed gourmet dishes capturing only the best of European cuisines is offered alongside the finest selection of Raffles private-label caviar. Fine champagnes and European wines also dominate the large wine list.

Godahls Beach Bar & Grill

This casual beachside bar & grill at Godahl beach is a hot spot for guests during the day with its beautiful views of the ocean and unspoiled coral reefs of Canouan Island. Built from tropical woods, bamboo and palm trees, this is an ideal venue for spending a day at the beach and enjoying a vast variety of beach and water sports. Innovative and flavorful Caribbean-Cuban dishes make up the casual menu complemented by Caribbean cocktails, and a fine selection of healthy drinks and juices.

Bellini's

Adjacent to La Piazza, Bellin'’s is the resort's signature bar. Cascading water features, as well as views of the golf course and Mount Royal await guests while they enjoy a selection of fine cocktails and signature Bellinis which are perfect complements to the delectable cuisine of La Piazza. The bar is only open in the evenings and serves up designer canapés, Italian-style tapas, pasta samplers and creative tasting portions of the catch of the day pormises to please any palate.

Jambu's Bar

This lounge and Martini-Prosecco bar at the beachfront pool offers 88 different types of martinis, including the resort's signatue $300 Martini which comes with the ultimate souvenir - a 24 carat gold handcrafted olive sword. Definately a great start to each evening.

Pool Bar

Set distinctively in the center of one of the Caribbean's longest outdoor pools, this swim-up bar is sheltered by exquisite Palapa roofs. A lighter version of Jambu's à la carte menu is offered alongside other poolside snacks. Caribbean cocktails complement the light fare.

Trump Club Privee

A revival of the long-forgotten tradition of of European-style gaming in an elegantly exclusive venue has now been recreated in a building looking as though it were straight out of a James Bond film. Trump Club Privee, which is managed by Donald J. Trump, features a private salon for members only. Villa Monte Carlo, where Trump Club Privee is located, features La Varenne, a European gourmet restaurant with stunning views, and a Grand Ballroom for exclusive private functions. Law prohibits persons under the age of 18 years.

Executive Meetings and Incentives

Raffles Resort Canouan Island is the ideal place to gather your top-level clients and executives for work and pleasure.

The resort features one boardroom and five meeting rooms near the main Piazza totaling 1,480 square feet (138 sqm). In addition, at the Villa Monte Carlo there is one grand ballroom, The Villa Club, which can facilitate up to 300 people reception-style. Catering to small to mid-size exclusive events, we offer dedicated conference service managers who will act as your personal DMC during your stay. Conferences, private dining and receptions are conducted in the elegant ballroom, the executive first-class lounge of the Villa Monte Carlo, or at our conference center located near the resort's Piazza. State-of-the–art audio/visual equipment can be arranged for your board meetings and presentations.

The Villa Monte Carlo features a private kitchen, lounge area and a terrace that overlooks the resort and the turquoise-blue Caribbean Sea. Depending on the venue you choose, we can accommodate events for 10 to 350 guests.

Villa Monte Carlo, European Gaming & Special Events Venue

Dramatically situated on the top of Breezy Point is the Villa Monte Carlo, a grand villa styled after a Mediterranean Palace and designed to transport you back to a time when evening galas were truly grand. Joining in partnership with Trump International, the Villa Monte Carlo offers nightly European gaming in our two-storey VIP room with roulette, card games, craps, and slot machines.

The villa's terrace has captivating views of the sea, surrounding islands and resort below and is the perfect location for an evening cocktail party or a wedding reception followed by a gala dinner in the villa's elegant ballroom. Villa Monte Carlo also features a truly distinctive first-class executive meeting lounge.

Weddings

A 19th century Anglican church, brought to the island stone by stone from England at the end of the last century, has been lovingly restored and can be found in the center of the resort. The church now features beautiful murals and stained glass windows by renowned Italian artist Costanzo Rovati. Raffles' guests can hold their wedding ceremonies in the church subject to the usual legal requirements. A special wedding coordinator will be on hand to assist at all times.

Getting There

United States and Europe

For all passengers flying in and out of Barbados or St. Lucia, and Granada effective as of June 10, we will handle all flight connections, or transfers, to Canouan Island.

Passengers arriving at these points of entry will be greeted by airport staff upon reaching the arrivals hall, personally escorted to identify their luggage, and to the in-transit departures areas, where they will then board for Canouan. There will be no tickets issued, as this is technically a private charter.

The flight transfer must prepaid with each guest at a net rate of USD$300 per person. (Flight transfer for children under the age of 2 is complimentary, while children aged between 3 and 11 will be charged USD$200). This charge is applicable to groups of up to 16 people. For groups 16 or larger, please contact our reservations department for charter pricing. We will have access to as many 17 planes per day, and this new program is designed to provide a more flexible and consistent access to our resort, as we ensure guests will not have to experience missed.
