Hotel Description:
The Donbass Palace is a luxurious 5 star hotel located in the heart of the city of Donetsk, on Artyoma Street and is ideally situated for easy access to the Theatre, the Opera House, as well as the main shopping and commercial areas. The Donbass Palace is considered to be part of the architectural heritage of the Donbass region and was originally built in 1938. The architects N. Shuvalova designed the original building whilst N. Porhunov revised the proposed project and added the final details. During World War Two the hotel was partly destroyed and was reconstructed between the period 19471949. However, due lack of funds, the original architectural grandeur was not maintained.
