Hotel Introduction

The name alone tells you that you’re in for an incredible experience, and the Central Park edition of the classic luxury hotel certainly lives up to its legendary moniker. Constructed in the 1930s, the building retains a traditional charm and over-the-top opulence in the form of French limestone walls, inlaid onyx floors, antique chandeliers, and a distinguished art collection.

Every detail has been considered at the Ritz. For example, guests in park-view rooms receive telescopes that give them delightful views of the scenery. Need a lift? The Bentleys and limos at the hotel’s beck and call can take you wherever you need to go. Feeling a little jet-lagged? There’s a therapy for that concern and many more at the on-site La Prairie spa. When you get hungry, you simply must take in the cuisine at BLT Market.

The 259 rooms are done in soft colours and feature decorative accents such as lush upholsteries, fine fabrics, and richly patterned carpets. Sink into the 400 thread-count French sateen linens, feather duvets, and a selection of seven pillow types. The spacious marble bathrooms include deep soaking tubs, Frédéric Fekkai toiletries, and a choice of bathrobes.

Dining
Headed by celebrity chef and restaurateur Laurent Tourondel, BLT Market offers cuisine that beautifully fuses American and French fare. Open from breakfast through dinner, diners can dive into a rotating menu that features fresh seasonal ingredients from farmer’s markets. The Star Lounge is a celebrated watering hole that provides a sophisticated ambience for cocktails and afternoon tea. It also boasts a unique Cupcake Tea, featuring five petite gourmet cupcakes and choice of superb tea.

Spa
The Ritz Carlton Central Park hosts La Prairie spa, Switzerland’s first U.S. spa location, which integrates mind and body into its therapies. The six treatment rooms are serene sanctuaries for the vast array of facial and body treatments, and guests can also take advantage of the steam rooms, sauna, state-of-the-art fitness centre, personal trainers, and private yoga and Pilates instructors.

Hotel Features
The hotel offers the Ritz-Carlton Club® Lounge for guests seeking a little something extra. The elite, private club includes complimentary foods and beverages throughout the day and evening; a dedicated concierge; wireless laptop access; packing and unpacking services; and an exclusive collection of DVDs, CDs, and children’s books.

Meetings
A selection of four dedicated function spaces provide all of the style and high-tech amenities you need to create the perfect mood for any gathering—from private dinners to receptions. In addition, the Olmstead Boardroom is a refined space for meetings and conferences, hosting up to 10 guests and overlooking Central Park.
